Alfredo Chedraui Obeso, Antonio Chedraui Obeso and Pedro Benitez Obeso controlled a bakery company in Houston, TX at the time of its dissolution in 2000. The bakery company, Mexi-Pan Inc., included the involvement of Alan Shelby, a long-time Houston representative of US business interests related to the Chedraui Obesos. ChedrauiLeaks has previously published information about Chedraui business dealings in which Shelby had a role; his name appears in Chedraui-related public records from as early as 1997 until as recently as 2018. (See here for ChedrauiLeaks’ earlier coverage of 17.2 Ltd., and here for our coverage of Westhill Inc.).
Mexi-Pan Inc. was incorporated on May 3, 1989, and did business as La Piñata Bakery at 5257-A Buffalo Speedway in Houston, Texas according to filings with the Texas Secretary of State. Alfredo Chedraui was named as President, Jose A. Chedraui as Vice President, and Pedro Benitez as Secretary on the company’s Articles of Dissolution, which were filed June 16, 2000 in Texas.
