Carlos R. Fernandez and Gabriela S. De Fernandez, Trustees of the Barcelona Farms Trust dated September 25, 2015 (as written on the deed), paid $7,125,000 in December 2015 for the horse farm at 13985 Old El Camino Real, San Diego, California. ChedrauiLeaks was unable to find any loans recorded with San Diego County for the purchase, and we believe that the purchase is what is known as a “cash purchase.” The property was assessed at $7.65 million for 2017 tax purposes.

Carlos Rodrigo Fernández Ávila is the son of Justo Felix Fernández Lopez and Alicia Ávila de Fernández.

Alicia’s father Maximino Avila Camacho was governor of Puebla and her uncle (Manuel Avila Camacho) was president of Mexico.

The “Carlos R. Fernandez” named on the deed for 13985 Old El Camino Real is the same Carlos Rodrigo Fernandez Avila.

Estela Chedraui Obeso is married to one of Carlos‘s brothers. Irma Chedraui Obeso was married to one of Carlos’s other brothers.

Antonio Chedraui Obeso and Alfredo Chedraui Obeso are Irma and Estela’s brothers.
