Stella Velasco Chedraui purchased 1560 Santa Carolina Road #1 in Chula Vista, California for $425,000 (based on the documentary transfer tax paid) in December 2018. ChedrauiLeaks was unable to find any loans recorded with San Diego County for the purchase, and we believe that the purchase is what is known as known as a “cash purchase.” The condo is in the same neighborhood as three other units owned by a Chedraui family trust with Stella’s mother as trustee.
Stella Velasco Chedraui and David Velasco Chedraui are the children of Ana Maria Chedraui Obeso. Their uncles are Alfredo and Antonio Chedraui Obeso.
The list of San Diego County properties purchased by Chedraui Obeso family members has grown in recent years:
- Alfredo Chedraui López bought 721 Balboa Avenue in Coronado, California for $3,600,000 on July 31, 2015.
- A Chedraui family trust owns six condos worth an estimated $2 million in Chula Vista. Ana Maria Chedraui Obeso bought two of the units in 2009 before transferring ownership to the trust in 2013. The trust purchased four more from 2014 to 2016:
